In a welcome move, tech giant Apple has once again announced to extend TV Plus free trials. This means users can continue to take the advantage of the free trial for the Apple TV+ service. The free trials have been extended till July this year. The free trial subscription was slated set to expire in February. Apple first announced the extension of free trials of TV Plus in October 2020. It extended the free trial to February 2021. Apple had announced a year free trial at the time of launch. With the latest extension, the year free trial bonanza will now see an extra 9 months of free access to content on the platform.
The free trial extension is an incentive for those who have not canceled their subscription. Apple said that customers who didn’t annul the subscription of TV Plus will continue to use the services for free. They need not pay any extra amount for the remaining six months of the free trial till July. The free trial customers will now be asked for renewals in July. For annual users whose subscription will expire during the additional free trial, months will also be able to take advantage of the service at no additional price. Apple said that it will notify customers who are eligible to use the services in the extended period of free trials.
Apple said that it will compensate the current subscribers with credit refunds just like the last time. It said that customers with a monthly subscription plan of USD 4.99 will get an App Store credit for the period of February-June 2021. They will be asked for renewals in July. TV Plus is a streaming television service by the iPhone maker. The company has invited praise and applause from TV Plus subscribers for the content it is offering. Its service is accessible via the Apple TV app. The company earlier provided one-year free access of TV+ content to customers buying new iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.
