Tech giant Apple has announced a huge relief for those having faulty AirPods Pro. The company said that it will replace or repair faulty AirPods Pro. Apple will not charge even a penny for this. The service will be extended free of cost. The company is offering to replace or repair the faulty devices under its new repair program. The devices that are facing active noise cancellation issues will be covered under this scheme. Apple said that even if a unit makes a crackling or static sound, the company will look to repair or replace it. The company has updated the service in its support age. Apple said that the program is applicable globally.

According to Apple’s prediction, AirPods Pro could experience sound issues that were manufactured by the company before October this year. However, the percentages of such devices are believed to be small. Apple said that affected AirPods Pro will be covered under the program for two years after the first retail sale of the unit. Apple said that the company itself and an Authorized Service Provider will provide the service. But the company will consider repairing or replacement only if an AirPods Pro is found to be eligible under the announced program. The company will examine the device before to verify whether it is eligible to be covered under the program.

Notably, the company has not extended the program to the standard warranty coverage of the earbuds. Apple didn’t specify a reason for sound issues. The company said that it didn’t experience problems while reviewing. Apple said that the issue is extremely annoying. Users reported that they experienced crackling or popping sound. They also complained that active noise cancellation didn’t work on the expected lines. Apple decided to launch a free repair program based on feedback from users. Apple launched AirPods Pro to offer active noise cancellation to deliver immersive sound. It is a method that reduces unwanted sound and delivers transparency in the sound.
