Start of this year has come as the unfortunate news bearer for Google fans as the company is removing more things from their arsenal than adding to it. Google is preparing to shut down Google Plus social networking, and now, they announced the removal of Notification Widget from every Google service. The standard notification Widget on the top-right corner of the every Google services shows us information about recent notifications. Now, the company has decided to pull-down that feature. The Notification Widget will be removed from Next Month, and the Navigation bar will be left with Your Profile Photo, and Google Web Apps launcher.

The Notification Widget was launched with Google Plus social networking site back in 2011. The widget was added to show the notification from Google Plus site. Later, it was integrated with Google Hangouts and Google Photos, which was Google Photos+ Back then. But as Google plus failed miserably and the recent data leaks accelerated the process of shutting it down, the company has decided to remove the widget from Navigation Bar on top-right side. On March 7th, 2019 the notification widget will be removed from the navigation bar, leaving users with Profile Photo, App Launcher, and Settings icon only.

For individual users, the notification widget will be removed. As Google will disable Google Plus site for individual users, they will not have access to the same. But, the enterprise version users of Google Plus will still have access to the social networking site. Also, the Enterprise version users can quickly enable the option from Settings Menu of individual Google services to receive notification from the widget. This change won’t affect those who’ve opted for Push Notifications from Google Services.
