Recently the company released an official new notice for all of its employees working. This further notice mentions the fact that every employee will now be required to wear masks and cover their faces. This new policy of covering faces will be taking effects in Georgia, South Carolina, and Eastern Alabama stores.
Officials of Jroger said that COVID-19 had affected every person’s lives, and since the company’s employees have to work with daily customers, their lives are at risk. The spread of novel coronavirus is known to everyone, and that’s why the company decided to take this significant step of covering faces with masks. Grocery chain Kroger said they have stock of surgical masks that their employees can use, but it’s unclear about the quantity they have with them.
Recently Atlanta based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Centers issued a new warning of covering faces with masks to stop the spread of novel coronavirus. CDC so far has issued various precautions for ordinary citizens, and one of them is covering faces with masks where social distancing is not actually possible. Since there are some places like grocery chain stores where people would come in large numbers at such places, no one should be allowed without their face covered with a mask.
Publix, on the other hand, also made it compulsory for its employees to wear masks, which is a significant step considering the current situation. The number of coronavirus cases are increasing in the country, and this might help those who are non infected from getting diagnosed with deadly viruses in public places.
