South Korean tech giant Samsung has reported good sales in the US home appliances market. As per the data available, Samsung Electronics accounted for a record of 20.5 percent of sales in the country, becoming the number one electronics conglomerate in the US home appliances market in 2019. This is the fourth consecutive year when Samsung has surpassed rival companies to become the market leader. In the fourth quarter of 2019, Samsung accounted for 21.6 percent of the market. With this, the company now remains the top player for 15 straight quarters. Samsung said last year’s business was driven by good sales of its new and premium products.

Samsung said it secured the top rank in all of its flagship home appliances products including dryers, washing machines, and refrigerators. The Korean conglomerate said it made up 20.5 percent of the washer market. This is the four straight years when the company has topped the sector. Its dryers accounted for over 20 percent of the market to retain the number 1 spot for the third consecutive year. For refrigerators sector, Samsung accounted for 23.7 percent of the market, retaining the top position for a fourth consecutive year. For the French-door refrigerator segment, the company said it accounted for 32 percent of the market. The company now becomes a top player in the sector for the 11th straight year.

Samsung grabbed the second spot in the microwave oven market with a 14.5 percent share. The company said it was able to increase its business by constantly reflecting consumers’ lifestyles and tastes into new products. It promised to strengthen competitiveness in the coming days in the home appliances market as the number 1 company. The other companies that made to the top list include Whirlpool and LG Electronics. Notably, Samsung Electronics is the largest manufacturer of consumer electronics and semiconductors by revenue. It was founded in 1959. Samsung has its headquartered in Suwon in South Korea. It has a sales network and assembly plants across the world.
